Indeed, we're here! A VERY nice group of fun-loving daylily folks... gardening right here in the scenic Foothills of the Blue Ridge, and taking full advantage of "PERFECT" daylily-growin' countryside! Our meetings are the 2nd Sunday of each month, except in December and January, in the historic district of Rutherfordton, NC. We ALWAYS have fun... and we hope you will join us!!! |

2016 has been a good year for the Foothills Daylily Soceity (FSD). We received the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) Silver Medal Award for having 75% or better of our membership in AHS. We had a successful daylily sale and public relations event at the MayFest in downtown Rutherfordton, had club events at three of our club members homes, and established a community project supporting the Friends of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge. We donated 20 daylilies to the Flowering Bridge in October, which will make a beautiful 'splash' on the Bridge in the summer of 2017.
AHS/Region 15 serves the Carolinas which has over 400 members in 13 clubs local clubs throughout the two states. In our club, we are fortunate to have two members serving as Regional President and Regional Publicity Officer for AHS/Region 15. We also have two members whose hybridized daylilies have received the prestigious AHS Stout Silver Medal Award, the highest award a cultivar can receive.

Our meetings are the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2pm, at the Rutherford County Building located at 289 N. Main St. in Rutherfordton, NC.
We are conveniently located for daylily growers living in western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina. Come join us! |
